PRIVACY POLICY

As of May 25th 2018 all businesses must be compliant with new GDPR regulations. 


What does this mean?


Vetphysioni will not use your personal data for marketing purposes or give your information to third parties without your written consent. Your personal data will be kept and used in accordance with this Privacy Policy, clinical records retention periods and clinical confidentiality guidelines.  Vetphysioni will only contact you regarding your care for example appointments, recovery progress etc, or at your request.

  

What information does this apply to?

Personal data when you contact us to enquire about our services/treatments, register to be a customer/patient or book an appointment or complete a consent form. We may also receive personal data from third parties such as insurance companies, GPs, Vets at your request with them. It includes all personal data, for example, your name, date of birth, telephone number, address, email address, GP or veterinary surgeon.  It also applies to next of kin information and your clinical notes. 


All personal data will be stored securely and confidentially. Information is stored on an electronic system which is only accessed by your physiotherapist. As per law your clinical notes and personal data will be stored for 7 years since the last treatment. 


Vetphysioni may need to contact your GP or Vet. Vetphysioni will request consent for this to occur. The only exception of this is when requesting consent for Veterinary Physiotherapy for initial treatment as required by the Veterinary Surgeons 1966 Act.  You will be informed of this when you contact Vetphysioni to make an appointment.


If you would like to request a copy of the personal data we have for you or change any contact details please contact info@vetphysioni.com. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request you can contact the Information Commissioners Office on 0303 123 1113 or visit their website (www.ico.org.uk).
